Museum Exhibits

The TCVA has been promised space in the Patuxent River Naval Aviation Museum.  The musuem is undergoing a massive expansion and the TACAMO display is slated for next year (2017), sometime.

Many of the artifacts we gathered from the "Boneyard" in Tucson are resting comfortably in the museum's storage facility.

TCVA President, Vern Lochausen, currently sits on the museum's Board of Directors.

TCVA is proud to announce the creation of an exhibit at Naval Air Museum Barbers Point.  An outdoor information kiosk sitting near Hangar 110, the home of VQ-3 (1980-1992) & VR-21 DET.  It commemorates the history and shipmates that "stood the guard" over the Pacific and the transition from the Herc to the Merc.

Designed to be a permanent marker on the old NAS Barbers Point base. The kiosk was designed and constructed by Mike Vos. The photo display was created and assembled by Cheryl Vos.  It's a recognition of the people that worked and played on this little corner of paradise.

Special thanks goes to Brad Hayes, the executive director and curator of the museum.  Brad was totally supportive of the project and provided logistic support, as well.  In thanks, TCVA  awarded Brad with the dubious honor of "Honorary TACAMO Sailor".  Welcome aboard, Brad.
