TCVA Fallen Brother Ron Woolsey


April 7, 1942 - October 30, 2016

It is with much sadness TCVA reports the passing on one of TACAMO brothers, Ronald "Ron" T. Woolsey

Ronald T. Woolsey, 74, of Pensacola, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, October 30, 2016. Ron was born in Lewisburg, PA to Francis Thomas Woolsey (Dad) and Mabel Edith Woolsey (Mom) on April 7, 1942. He was a proud member of the United States Navy. Ron served his country for 20 years, including tours abroad, achieving the rank of Lieutenant, receiving numerous commendations and medals, retiring with honors January 1, 1982. After a career in the military, Ron continued to serve his community and was a very involved member of the "American Legion Post #240". Ron attended the Family Worship Center Church and helped others whenever opportunities were presented. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert David Woolsey. Survivors include his wife, Nancy "Sharon" Woolsey, step-daughter Shana Hills, step-son Chad Hepner, two natural children, his son Jeffery Lee Woolsey, his son Anthony Michael Woolsey, six grandchildren and other family.The family will receive friends/guests at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 N. New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506 on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:30 am with a funeral service to follow at 12:30pm, Rev. Julian Walker and Rev. Randy Wood officiating. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery on board NAS Pensacola. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
