Encouragement and prayers are needed for Ron Carlson, 2012 TACAMO Hall of Fame Inductee as he battles with his illness. Let us all give Ron hope, courage and comfort with healing. Let us all give strength to the Carlson family and friends.
Ron Carlson was the First Navy TACAMO C-130 Herc Pilot, Delivered the first VQ-3 Hercs from the factory in the 60’s, Flew a Herc (151891) around the world, First VQ-3 pre-comm Det Officer in Charge, the AC who flew Guam JATO takeoff in the famous photo, First TACAMO Requirements Officer in the Pentagon-defender of TACAMO IVB Funding and answered CNO Admiral Zumwalt’s Zgram - “Why can’t TACAMO talk HF TTY to SAC ABNCP?” Last year, 2019, TACAMO Veterans Community Association celebrated Ron and 151991 in Pensacola and all he did for TACAMO.
