TACAMO Fallen Veteran - Howard Terry Wininger

1944-2020

Howard Terry Wininger, age 76 of Phil Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at his residence.

Terry proudly served in the Navy for 21 years.  He then was a technical writer for the civil service for 26 years, he was a hardware counter employee at Walmart for eight years, and for a few years, enjoyed being a red kettle volunteer for the Salvation Army.  He was kind, generous, and has always been a hard worker and a good provider.   He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.  Terry loved his family and he loved his co-workers at Walmart.

A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Howard Wininger & Lois Carty Wininger; and brother, Gerald Dewayne Wininger.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 18 years, Paula Garrison Wininger; children, Howard Wininger, Jr., Fred Bailey, Kenny Bailey, Thelma Taylor, Kristy Thompson, Cody Williams; grandchildren, Danielle Wininger, Fred Bailey, KC Bailey, Lisa Bailey, Kelly Bailey, Anilee Bailey, Adren Bailey, Adri Williams, Nate Thompson, Nicholas Williams, CollinWilliams, Jesse McCafferty, Lance, Kyle, and Travis; great-grandchildren, Logan, Liam, and Dominique Wininger, Blaze McCafferty, and Zeke Gayle  He is also survived by siblings, Phyllis Riggs, Barbara Harper, Chris Wininger; nieces & nephews, Connie Va, Wayne Riggs, Tim Wininger, Amy Wininger, Kevin Wininger, Chris Wininger, II, Tanya Parram, Renee Cox, Thereasa Powers, Roxanna Cox, and Garrett Wininger.

The family wants to extend their extend their deepest gratitude to Encompass Hospice, our nurse, Jamie, and our physical therapist, Jennie, for the love and care shown to our family.
